How to Customize a Template
Customizing a blog may be hard sometimes for the new and non-expert blogger. But this task is not so hard. I think you everybody should practice the customization of templates to be expert. Today I am going to show you how to customize a blog's margin or space. Look at my blog, I have taken this template from the listed template of Google. But I have customized a lot in this template. There was a lots of gaps between the sidebar and the body. I have decreased that. There was also a huge gap between the header and the body. I have also customized that. Now I will show you how I have customized my blog. Just follow the steps given below to do so. But don't worry I will help you if you need.
Step 01: At first you need to log in to your blogger account from here.
Step 03: Click on Proceed now. Again click on Expand Widget Templates to expand the widget template.
Step 04: Press Ctrl+F to open the Search Box. Now type <Variable name="date.space" description="Date Space" type="length" default="33px" value="33px"/> in the search box to find out.
Step 05: Change the value 33px to 5px and click on Preview to see see the result. Change the value as per as your demand. There are some more options to change the more spaces of another sections. You may change the values where is written 15px or something like this to change the spaces of other sections.
Step 06: If you think all is OK about your template after previewing that then you have to click on Save Template to save the Template. Never click on Save Template before previewing that. You may also download your template before customization if you are in fear.
However I think you are not so weak in this section as you are blogging and already in this sector. So please carry on and customize as you need.
