thumbs.db is not harmful
What is Thumbs.db?
I have seen some Computer Users who is shouting saying that their Computer is attacked by Virus! They answered something strange when I asked them about the Virus! Have you ever seen a hidden file named thumbs.db? Your answer would be Yes/No, but there is many more files in your Computer System named thumbs.db! This file is a hidden file so that you cant see them normally! Wanna see this file? It's so easy. You may found them in any of the Image Folders of your Computer System.
How to Found Out Thumbs.db?
Step 01: Press Ctrl+E from your Computer's Keyboard to open the Explorer. You may also open the Explorer by double clicking on the My Computer shortcut from the Desktop or from the Start Menu.
Step 02: Now click on Tools from the menu of the Explorer and then a drop-down menu will open.
Step 03: Click on Folder Options... from the drop-down menu. Hope you have already got a pop-up window after clicking on Folder Options...
Step 04: Look, there is four Tabs in the pop-up window. Click on the View Tab. View Tab is the second tab here.
Step 05: Now click on Show hidden files and folders, then click on Hide extensions for known file types.
Step 06: Now open any of the folders where you have kept images. After opening a folder where is images, you will get a thumbs.db file.
But sometimes it may not happen. However this the right place where you can found a Thumbs.db file! Have you got any file like this? Just delete the file if you got any file like this and then click on Up or Back to close the Folder, again open the folder. What has happened? Haven't you deleted the thumbs.db file? So, why the same file is again here?
This is quiet impossible to delete this file. So most of the Computer Users think that this is a Virus! There is no way to delete the file permanently! You may only stop the process of creating this same file again! Remember this thumbs.db file is not harmful at all. So don't worry about this file. This file will keep your images well instead of doing anything wrong with your Computer System! There is no any antivirus yet what will catch this file thinking Virus.

Delete
